Information you provide
When you contact us, we receive the information you supply, such as your name, telephone number, email address, property postcode and a description of the roof or work required. Further correspondence, property details and photographs may be needed to discuss a quotation or agreed job. We may also hold records of your communication preferences and requests about your information.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information through the website forms. Only provide information about someone else where you are entitled to do so.
Why we use information
- To answer enquiries, discuss roof suitability and access, and prepare quotations.
- To arrange and administer agreed work and communicate about the job.
- To handle questions, complaints and data-protection requests.
- To maintain relevant business, accounting and legal records.
- To manage permitted marketing emails and requests to stop them.
Website hosting and technical services may also process technical information, such as connection and device information, when operating and protecting the website. External services are explained below.
Our lawful bases
We use enquiry and customer information where needed to take steps you request before a contract or to carry out an agreed contract. Legal obligations may require us to retain particular records.
We also rely on legitimate interests where appropriate for managing our business, responding to general correspondence, protecting systems and handling complaints or legal claims. Those interests must be balanced against your rights. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Marketing emails
We send marketing emails as well as communications about enquiries and jobs. Promotional emails require an appropriate lawful basis and compliance with the separate rules for electronic marketing, including consent where required. A privacy-policy acknowledgement is not unlimited marketing permission.
You can object to direct marketing at any time. Use an unsubscribe option provided in a message, or contact us by email or telephone and ask us to stop. Necessary communications about an active enquiry or agreed work are separate from promotional messages. We may need to keep a minimal suppression record so that your preference is respected.
Who may receive information
Information may be handled by those who need it to respond to your enquiry or administer agreed work. Suppliers providing website hosting, website support and email services may process information as part of those services. Relevant information may also need to be provided to professional advisers, authorities or others where required by law or necessary for dealing with a legal claim.
The categories and extent of information shared should be limited to what is needed for the relevant purpose. Contact us if you would like further information about the recipients involved in your enquiry or job.
How long we keep information
Unsuccessful enquiries: our retention period is four weeks after we finish dealing with an enquiry that does not proceed to a job. This routine period does not require us to delete information that is still needed to address an active complaint, legal obligation or legal claim.
Completed jobs and financial records: these are kept separately from unsuccessful enquiries. Their retention depends on the purpose of the record, the customer relationship, applicable accounting or legal requirements, and any complaint or claim that needs to be handled. The four-week enquiry period does not apply to these records.
Information should be deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed. Contact us if you want to ask about a particular record or request deletion; some information may need to be retained where a legal exception applies.

International processing
Some technology providers and external platforms operate internationally. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, UK data-protection rules require a permitted transfer mechanism or another lawful exception. You can contact us for details of the providers and safeguards relevant to your information.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or portability. You can object to certain processing, including direct marketing, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis used. Some rights are subject to conditions and legal exceptions.
You do not need a website account or a particular form to make a request. Contact us using the details above. Our Data Rights & Deletion Requests page explains what information helps us locate your records and the usual response times.
Concerns and complaints
Please contact us if you have a concern about how your information is used. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
